Position Location:
Determine location of your vehicles and other in-town objects on the electronic map. Using our help map your own objects (offices, warehouses, sales points, etc.), traffic routes and optimize internal transport streams.
Traffic Monitoring:
Receive an exhaustive information on speed and direction of vehicle movement in real time mode. Alert messages about occurrence of emergency situations will be delivered in a matter of seconds.
Control of Route Performance:
A dispatcher can control movement of a vehicle along traffic route specified in the route sheet.
Fuel Consumption Control:
Fuel consumption meters installed on vehicles are used to determine real amount of fuel consumption.
Creation of Statistics Archive:
Analyze routes of vehicles movement for the previous day, week, month, etc. Determine length of routes; get detailed information about triggering of various sensors installed on the vehicles. Large companies can receive reports in the format that corresponds to their type of activity.
Installation and Maintenance of the System:
Our experts install on-board sets on customer’s transport vehicles within several days after conclusion of the agreement. They also configure access and provide keys for access to the information center. On the customer's choice special report forms are created. Our personnel monitors operation of the customers’ systems, diagnose them and respond to any abnormal situations.
Distinctive features of the Navitron system in comparison with the other navigators.
- Free connection and operation of the system for observing vehicle location in real time mode (all other functions are charged).
- Free connection to the system of any GPS-GSM-terminal of any manufacturer;
- Any mobile object can be monitored from a pocket computer, a smart phone, a telephone connected to the Internet and supporting Java version not lower than 2.0 as well as from a personal computer.
- Number of users monitoring a mobile object is not restricted, their connection is free of charge (using login and password);
- Cartographic support is free of charge and there is a possibility of connection of cartographic user support using Google API maps:
- Speed of location data acquisition is only limited by data transmission channels speed. The minimum delay in acquisition of data on mobile object location is 1 sec.
- Frequency of data acquisition depends on technical capabilities of the equipment. When GPS-terminal of the Navitron is used, the maximum frequency of data acquisition is 3 sec and/or each 10 meters of the route in motion
- Availability of connection is permanently checked due to synchronous packets. It enables to control a timely character of data and to signal about lost connection with a mobile object. The situation when a vehicle has left and the user remained uninformed is excluded;
- The GPS-terminal of the Navitron has two (2) SIM cards that automatically switch over if there is no connection with the current operator. Such function is especially convenient during traveling abroad. Abroad another operator provides services, thus automatic switching provides an opportunity not to use prepaid cards and to reduce expenses on communication abroad
- GPS-terminal of the Navitron is arranged so that data for transmission are stored in the ring buffer/archive. If traffic accident occurs and there is no possibility to send current information through radio channel, this archive can be read in laboratory conditions.
- The GPS-terminal of the Navitron in addition to the built-in Flash memory provides an opportunity of connection of flash card of SD format. If such card is connected, data on location and state of sensors are always written on this card in ring. Frequency of storing data on the card is determined by the maximum frequency of location determination and it is done once per sec. The oldest records are substituted by new entries. Data are transmitted to the server with speed specified in configuration with the Set Track command. 2 GB of Flash memory is enough for 6 months. This card can be removed at any time and data can be loaded on the server.
- Under connection of external sensors (e.g. fuel level sensor) a user can calibrate the sensor in interactive mode independently and receive schedule of changes in readings of such sensor that will be synchronized with movement of the vehicle.
- It is possible to connect to the Navitron a video camera and other source of multimedia data that are stored on the multimedia server and are synchronized with navigation data base.
- Updating of GPS-terminal software can be done locally (USB port) and remotely through GPRS channel.
Benefits of implementation
The system is based upon technology of data transmission named General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). Expenses on operation of the system are very low in comparison with other systems that use technology of SMS messages for data transmission. GPRS technology ensures data transmission with speed of 39 kilobits per sec without engaging voice channel. In addition when GPRS is used, computations are done in proportion to volume of transmitted information, but not in proportion to connection time.
The Navitron system can considerably decrease operation expenses due to:
- optimization of dispatcher’s operative functions;
- decrease of nonproductive and idle run that is very important for logistics;
- exclusion of misuse of vehicles, false increase of travel distances, etc.
- taking of managerial decisions on the basis of reliable statistical data;
- savings of petroleum, oil, lubricants and other resources related to motor vehicles exploitation.
According to estimates of Russian experts systems of such type save up to 25 % of expenses on motor fleet.
The Navitron system can improve quality of transport services due to:
- acceleration and ranking of processing of applications for transportation;
- rational development of routes and planning of freight traffic activity;
- instantaneous access to information about location and state of motor vehicles, arrival and dispatch of cargoes.
The Navitron improves safety of cargo transportation:
- as a driver can send an alert message at any time;
- оdue to an operative control of deviation of motor vehicles from the established route and its leaving from the specified area - AVL system (Automatic Vehicle Location);
- tracking of various states of a motor vehicle (including opening of cargo department, change of temperature in the cargo department, etc.) by an onboard set, and there is also a possibility of remote switching on/off of executive devices (door locks, ignition circuits, etc.).
